Many campuses around the country have bands who practice in their parking garages in the evening. Green Haven is an up and coming experimental rock band that practices twice a week in the Laurel parking garage here at the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL.

"We strive to make the best music possible by implementing all of the many influences together into one sound."

Compiled of three college students, one high school senior and one customer service executive, Green Haven are originally from Tarpon Springs and play frequently around the Tampa area.

The band is composed of Justin Bruno on vocals, Austin Burdi and Nick Rovello on guitar, Andres Hernandez on bass and Luca Canalungo on drums.

The band writes and produces their own songs and music videos. Green Haven are about to release a music video for their brand new song called "You Follow, I Lead", as part of a split EP with Orion.

"We have a love for performing our songs live with an energy that is fueled by the roaring guitars, driving drums, energetic vocal melodies and relentless bass lines."

Expect to see a full length album released from the band later this year across streaming services, as well as iTunes!

At their most recent concert, 25% of proceeds from ticket sales - an estimate of $300 - went towards the Remember Meadow Organization, which benefits students from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School who were affected from the shooting in February.

When asked what the band means to him in three words, Justin Bruno states:

"Passionate. Deep. Alive."

Go out and see the "kings of the Laurel parking garage" at their upcoming shows:
