Life In A World Of Theme Parks

Growing up, I was one of the lucky kids that got to go to Disney every year. I met princesses and Mickey Mouse and did all the rides every year.

Fast forward into my late teen years and now I live opposite a world of theme parks, my college is across the street from another theme park, and I work at another different theme park.

Essentially, I live in the world of theme parks. And I wouldn't have it any other way.

Growing up and continuing to live in this environment has helped my confidence immensely. I used to just smile shyly when a sales associate in a mall would greet me when I walked into their store. Now, I have no problem saying "hello", "goodbye" and "have a great day!" to people I've never seen before, nor will ever see again.

Also, thanks to those Spanish lessons I had to take in middle school, I can still confidently recall numbers and greetings which help tremendously with my transactions. (At least guests can see that I'm trying!)

The number one thing I love about being surrounded by these theme parks is that there is always something new to see! It's always someone's first visit, always someone's first time walking into Diagon Alley (and crying at the dragon breathing fire), always a new sign, new show, a new character interaction to be had.

Theme park life is strange and yet refreshing every day.

Everything is different everyday, yet it is all so familiar to what I grew up with. I wouldn't have it any other way.

I know that I am fortunate to be living in such a busy and popular environment, to be living in the tourist capital of the world has been a dream come true in itself for me.

Disney. Universal. Busch Gardens.
