Halloween is just around the corner, meaning that many of us probably don’t have costumes sorted ready for the holiday. Here are some quick and easy Halloween costumes you can make from just a quick trip to Target and Michael’s.

1. Social Media
An oversized bright colored shirt plus paper or felt cut out to the shape of the logo of your favorite social media app; Snapchat, Twitter, Instagram. Simple, inexpensive and quick and easy to do when you are running last-minute on the costume preparation.

2. Tourist
All you need for this one is a large Hawaiian shirt, sunglasses, a fanny pack and a map of a theme park or destination. All relatively simple items to collate. Remember to act confused, lost and overly excited at all times possible.

3. Marathoner
Gym clothes are pretty comfy whether you are working out in them, or just wearing them as athleisure. The only extra accessory you need to add to this outfit is a racing number pinned to your shirt. Pair this up with someone dressed as a zombie then you can act as if you are running away from the dead.

4. Sims Character
If you are running really behind on the costume preparation, there is no easier costume than the Sims character. Wear what you are currently wearing and then add a headband with a green diamond made out of construction paper and tape. Quick, easy and it looks like you put a lot more effort in than you did!

5. Risky Business
Iconic, yet simple. All that is needed for this costume is a large long sleeve white shirt, sunglasses and white socks. Probably items we all have somewhere in our homes – or at least know something who does!

6. The Saw Puppet
If you’re looking to be more on the creepy costume side this Halloween, Billy the Puppet from Saw is a relatively easy, yet still scary, costume for you to do. For the costume you will just need a bow tie and suspenders, for the makeup you will just need to draw red spirals on your cheeks and lines down to your jaw. If you want to take this a step further you can add colored contacts to your eyes to surprise people when you see them.

7. The Grady Twins
Who knew two little girls would be so frightening as time went on? The Shining twins are an easy costume to do with a friend. All you will need are two matching blue dresses with white knee socks. Sprinkle yourselves in fake blood and you will be just as scary as the Grady twins.

8. Vampire Bat
Instead of the traditional devil or cat costume, if you have an old umbrella then you can change it up and become a vampire bat this Halloween season. Wear a plain black outfit and cut up a black umbrella to make structured wings, attach straps so you can wear them and then you will be good to go.

9. Evil Princesses
Everyone wants at least one princess moment in their life, why not turn it into a spooky moment and add fake blood, dark makeup and injuries to your costume for a creepy twist on a classic fairytale.

10. Emojis
This is a great idea to coordinate among a large group going to one event together. Not only is it cheap and easy to do, but everyone can choose their own emoji. You can all be animals, different emotions, or team up and be the dancing twins. Possibilities run far so this can definitely be tailored to your group.

Possibilities surrounding Halloween costumes are endless. You can be scary and creepy, or funny and punny, it is entirely up to you! Halloween costumes can also be done on the more inexpensive side, let your DIY abilities come out this October.
