10 Things I WILL Miss About Living On Campus Next Year

As my Freshman year comes to a close, I can't help but feel nostalgic about leaving my dorm room and everything I have lived in for the past year. Albeit I love my dorm room, there are some things that I will be glad to leave behind as I move out next week.
Here are 10 things I am going to miss about living on campus next year:
1. My dorm room
📷
It was a decent size and it was the first room I have ever fully decorated myself, it was all mine so, of course, I am going to miss what I built.
2. Knowing that everyone around me was in the same situation
📷
In my area on campus, pretty much everyone was a freshman. Everyone was in the same boat; so nervous, so excited and still figuring stuff out - especially during Fall semester. It's going to be strange not having the same demographic around anymore.
3. Being close to everything on campus
📷
Even though USF is a huge campus, everything is within walking distance. I could walk to everything, next semester I am going to have to park far out and walk further, as well as allow time for that. That might take a couple of weeks to adjust to.
4. Random roommates
📷
I'd like to think I got on pretty well with my roommates, however it was random selection and I didn't really ever know them. It was interesting living with random people from across the world.
5. Ghost stories of the dorm
📷
My dorm is the oldest residential building on campus, hence the constant reminder of the building being haunted, random noises in the night and frequent yelling of "die, die die!" It always made for an interesting story when people came round.
6. Someone always being around
📷
The good thing about my community was the fact that there would always be someone around; in the dorm, in the dining hall or just hanging out outside. Living off campus is going to change that because I won't know all my neighbors and where they are likely to be all the time.
7. Not having to worry about parking on campus
📷
This is probably the biggest blessing of living on campus. Currently, I can roll out of bed 15 minutes before class and still make it on time. That's going to be a habit I need to break!
8. Safe Team saving me from late nights at the library
📷
USF's Safe Team always saved me from my late nights at the library and dropped me back to my dorm doorstep within that same 15 minutes. This was so handy when I didn't feel comfortable walking back at night on my own that I'm going to miss the luxury of it.
9. Having an RA
📷
My Resident Assistant was the best! She was always there to help justify the weird noises in the building, help with any issues I had and helped convince me to become an RA myself. I'm going to miss her a lot!
10. My cute little freshman year dorm room
📷
We've come full circle. I genuinely am going to miss my dorm room, not just because I'm leaving it but also because they are tearing the building down. I loved this room but I am so excited to decorate my new room next year!
